I am an IT professional experienced in full life-cycle, process re-engineering and systems implementation efforts of major Enterprise Financial applications with recent emphasis on managing the implementation of the full range of Treasury functions including Bank Management, Cash Management, Remittance processing and EFT & Check Disbursement processing. I have the proven ability to rapidly understand both business functions and technological capabilities and to develop and implement strategically focused solutions that are a cost effective balance of the two.

MetLife, Information Systems Specialist. 2000-Present

Managed the IT support organization for MetLife Tax and Treasury departments. These groups were responsible for the ongoing support, maintenance and enhancement of multiple Tax and Treasury specific applications, as well as full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) implementation of new applications.

New Implementation Projects include

  • Check Processing – Multiple full SDLC projects for the implementation of Bottomline Technologies' WebSeries and PayBase packages as a centralized check processing system for MetLife. Functionality includes integration with 21 Administrative feeder systems, Manual check entry, check printing at 25 sites, check accounting, bank paid and stop/void reverse-positive pay integration, reporting and customer service inquiry.
  • Treasury Work Station – Full SDLC project for the implementation of SunGard's AvantGard-Integrity for Daily Cash Management; centralized Wire and ACH processing – including batch administrative system integration, manual entry/approval and bank EDI820 integration; and customized support for cash attribution to investment portfolio.
  • Tax 1099 statement processing – Full SDLC project for the implementation of annual 1099 statement processing system resulting in the implementation of Convey's Taxport as an Application Service Provider solution.
  • Tax Payment Management – Two custom developed applications to manage Tax Department payments and payment accounting from multiple tax processing applications including Witholding taxes, Premium taxes, Corporate Income taxes, Sales taxes and Property taxes.
  • Appointed to a Corporate wide project to develop a new SDLC methodology for MetLife. Corporate systems resulting in a new more efficient STRIDE methodology.

RareMedium, Solutions Partner. 1999-2000

Responsible for establishing and maintaining client relationships, setting the overall direction for client engagements, and overseeing the progress of multiple projects.

Clients and projects include

  • A full function business-to-consumer site that includes e-commerce, community and editorial functionality for an Internet start-up.
  • A consumer financial information portal including quotes, corporate information and editorial content for a .com version of an established, major business publication.
  • An Internet based decision support engine that can be applied to both business-to-consumer and business-to-business Internet sites. This effort included the development of the client's own site, and the integration of the engine into other sites that purchase the engine from our client.

Oracle Consulting Services, Practice Manager. 1996-1999

Part of Oracle’s New Jersey consulting practice responsible for multiple projects of up to 30 staff and $14 million budget. Responsibilities include project staffing; financial budgeting, monitoring, and invoicing; client relationship management; and overall project direction.

Clients and projects include

  • Oracle Partner ERP and Oracle Financial systems customization and implementation for a major Consumer Products Goods company.
  • Oracle financial systems customization and implementation for a major Cosmetics company.

Price Waterhouse/IBM Consulting, Manager. 1980-1996

Managed teams of up to 30 consultants, client staff and third party contractors on client engagements worth up to $7 million in billings. These engagements covered business transformation, IT strategy, relational modeling, systems development, and package implementation consulting.

Clients and projects include:

  • The management of, and participation in a variety of complex, multi-application, systems implementation projects for various large and mid size clients in both the public and private sectors.
  • Development and support of a packaged General Ledger software solution marketed by Price Waterhouse to an installed client base of 50 mid-size companies in a variety of industries.
  • Development and rollout of Price Waterhouse Methodologies, including reference material, and supporting training material used by over 1000 consultants on a variety of consulting engagements worldwide. Methodologies developed included Strategic Information System Planning, Enterprise Data Modeling, Custom System Development, Package System Implementation and Project Management.
  • The development of a "wired community" strategy of a partnership between a Real Estate Developer and a major Hollywood Studio.
  • Managing a project team involved in a large scale IBM "CIO Study" where IBM surveyed the IT practices of 20 major corporations and produced a comparative Best Practices study delivered to all 20 clients. My project team studied IBM itself, which included interviews with the corporate CEO, CFO and CIO.
